Moog unveils the messenger: a modern analog monosynth with evolved ladder filter and Wavefolder.
After a first teasing, Moog lifts the veil on its new analog monosynth Messengera compact instrument that mixes the brand’s sound heritage with modern synthetic features (new generation ladder filter et Wavefolder Hybrid).
Presented as a “significant evolution” by Moog, the messenger relies on two variable wave oscillators, with classic forms (impulse, reverse saw tooth, triangle), a sub-oscillator, and a wavefolder inspired by Mavis and Labyrinth modules.
A reinvented ladder filter
The big novelty lies in the multimode analog filter, based on the famous Moog Ladder circuit, here declined in the past 4 poles, 2-pole pass, Band and High pass. The messenger introduces compensation for bass for resonance, preserving the richness of the bottom of the spectrum – a first for a Moog synth.
Modulation avancée et séquenceur intégré
The Messenger also offers two envelopes Bouclable adsr (VCA and VCF), two LFOs, a 64 steps sequencer/arpeggiator with different patterns, and a modulation allowing to affect forms of waves, filters and oscillators.
