WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States Supreme Court on Friday rejected an appeal by video-sharing platform TikTok against a federal law banning it on American soil.

The ban will take effect on Sunday.

The law passed last April by Congress requires TikTok to break with its parent company, the Chinese giant ByteDance, under penalty of ban. The judges approved this law on Friday.
