After almost a decade away from the screens, American actress Cameron Diaz expresses her satisfaction with this period of her life. “This decade has been the best of my life,” the 50-year-old told the Deutsche Presse-Agentur agency in response to a question about this break.
“I got married, I started a family, it was incredible! It was a blessing for me to be able to enjoy this time. It’s a privilege to be able to make films, a dream for many, but few can achieve it. The fact of being able to return to work, after a ten-year break, makes me really happy.”
Return to the cinema with “Back in Action” on Netflix
The film “Back in Action”, starring Cameron Diaz and the famous Jamie Foxx, is now available on Netflix. This action comedy tells the story of a couple who return to the life of espionage after fifteen years away from the CIA.
Diaz’s last film was in 2014. She clarified: “My family remains my number one priority. It totally influences the way I work. An asset for this film was the fact that we shot in London. In the United States, filming days can last twelve hours, at least! In London the limit is ten hours, which allowed me to spend time with my family in the morning or evening, sometimes both, which was really good.”
Cameron Diaz is married to musician Benji Madden and they lead a relatively secluded life with their two children, far from the media hustle and bustle.

My daughter sometimes tells me that I am so grateful for everything. But I make no apologies for just being grateful for certain moments and enjoying them. And yes, I’m definitely “Back in Action” again!
