DALLAS – The Canadiens added two more points to their record with a 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars at the American Airlines Center on Thursday.

Alex Newhook deflected a Lane Hutson wrist shot past goalie Jake Oettinger with 10:45 left in regulation; In the end it was the winning goal. By being credited with an assist on the sequence, Hutson extended his streak of games with at least one point to six.

Juraj Slafkovsky and Joel Armia, who scored the 100th of his career on Thursday, also found the back of the net for the visitors.
