Neymar Jr’s adventure in the Saudi Pro League turned out to be a fiasco and the Al-Hilal coach ended up losing patience.
It is on the strength of the 9 goals to 0 slap inflicted on Al-Fateh this Thursday, January 16 in the championship that Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus made unflattering remarks about Neymar Jr.
“Neymar will not be included in the squad for the championship. He can participate in the Asian Champions League. The Saudi League is one of the best leagues in the world.
All Al-Hilal players can play for any club in Europe. Neymar can no longer perform at the level we are used to. Things have become difficult for him unfortunately”he said.
This statement surely had the effect of a bomb on Neymar’s side. Coach Jorge Jesus therefore believes that the Brazilian is below the level required by the Saudi Pro League.
Neymar’s figures seem to prove the Al-Hilal technician right. Since his arrival in 2023, the former Barça player who passed through PSG has only played 7 matches for a single goal and 3 assists.
-Jorge Jesus also spoke about the future of Neymar as well as the rumors of the arrival of Mohamed Salah.
“He is still under contract with Al-Hilal and it is perhaps up to him to decide his future. It depends on the administration. I don’t know anything about Neymar’s future. We have an open spot on the list, reserved for a player born in 2003 or later. We are currently looking for a winger to fill this position. Salah or other big names will not come this winter, but maybe this summer”he added.
Neymar Jr no longer has the level
Neymar Jr is therefore far from his former form. The man who was promised the Ballon d’Or has become a shadow of himself over the seasons. In Saudi Arabia, he spent more time in the infirmary than on the pitch.
The leaders of the Saudi club are therefore completely disappointed with the player they snatched from PSG for 90 million euros. They are now ready to get rid of it. Inter Miami as well as Chicago Fire are interested in Neymar, but the player’s high salary and certain administrative constraints may prevent this transfer.
