Garmin has released an updated version of the Resume Later feature for its smartwatches, such as the Fenix 8. This feature allows users to resume interrupted activities more quickly.

Here’s what we know

The update includes a new shortcut in the form of a blue human icon that now appears on the watch’s home screen.

This allows you to quickly resume your activity without having to tap the icon multiple times, as was the case before.

The Resume Later feature was created to help you continue your workout after a break, while turning off GPS to save battery life. This feature is more convenient than a regular pause, as it allows you to save battery power for longer activities.

However, some users have noticed that the blue person icon can blend in with other elements on the watch face, making it difficult to see, especially if the background of the watch face is the same color than the icon. There is also another similar shortcut, the red clock icon, which allows you to quickly return to the timer.

There is also a similar option for the flashlight, which allows you to quickly enable this option without unnecessary clicks. These innovations are already available to users of the Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch, specifically the 51mm Solar Sapphire edition, but it is not yet known whether this option will be available for other Garmin models, such as the Forerunner 955 or the Epix Gen 2.

These changes make the use of Garmin watches even more convenient for those who are often engaged in physical activities.
