FC Barcelona offered a show of strength on Wednesday by crushing Betis Sevilla (5-1), and is heading for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Boosted after their victory on Sunday in the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid (5-2), the Blaugrana quickly imposed their rhythm against the Sevillian club.
The Catalan offensive festival began in the 3rd minute with a goal from Gavi, before Koundé doubled the lead in the 27th minute. In the second half, Raphinha added a third goal (59th), followed by Ferran Torres (67th) and the young prodigy Lamine Yamal (76th), confirming Barcelona’s superiority.
Despite a goal of honor for Betis, Hansi Flick’s men dominated the match from start to finish, sending a clear message to their next opponents.
