Indicted by the investigating judge on counts of murder, attempted murder, aggravated refusal to comply and damage to the property of others, the indictment was finally placed in detention, under arrest warrant.

No impairment of discernment

In a press release, Sébastien Galloisthe public prosecutor, recalls that the accused is prey to “deep psychological discomfort, the cause of which she attributes to an old dispute with her employer.

Concerning the weapons which were found in his vehicle, “they had been purchased following an attack of which the accused was allegedly the victim four years ago, and kept since then”, underlines the prosecutor.

An initial psychiatric assessment concluded that he was criminally responsible, but with an impairment of discernment during the events.

As a reminder, the suspect was found in Buchy on the run more than an hour after mowing down the three cyclists in Rouen. During the pursuit with law enforcement, other people were put in danger.

“Eight other people, without being injured, have already filed a complaint, in connection with the numerous traffic offenses committed during the pursuit,” specifies the prosecutor.
