The Bourgoin-Jallieu amateur club achieved a resounding feat by eliminating Lyon from the Coupe de France on Wednesday evening, a few days after its leaders came very close to a fatal accident.
Among themselves, they now call themselves “the survivors.” Djemal Kolver, president of Bourgoin-Jallieu, Suat Atak, vice-president, and Dylan Rahis, general manager of the Isère club, saw their destiny dancing on a thread. Of the resounding feat achieved by their team, residents of National 3 which eliminated Olympique Lyonnais from the Coupe de France, Wednesday evening on penalties, the three men could have seen nothing. Because all of their lives could have ended a few days earlier.

As RMC Sport tells us, it was played very closely, four days before their round of 16, when they went to Espaly (Haute-Loire) for a championship match.
