Jannik Sinner, world number 1 tennis player and winner of the last edition of the tournament, challenges Australian Tristan Schoolkate (n. 173 ATP) for a place in the third round of the Australian Open. The two men, although they are the same age, have never met before.

The Australian won the first set 6-4, interrupting the streak of 29 consecutive sets won by the blues. Sinner won the second set with a score of 6-4 and dominated the third set 6-1.
