For 2h30 on Wednesday January 15, 2025, the Gard firefighters intervened on avenue Jean Jaurès, in Grau-du-Roi (Gard), for a house fire.
-When they arrived at the scene of the fire at 8:25 p.m., they evacuated around ten people from the third floor of the building, the same floor where the fire broke out. In the apartment where the fire started, firefighters discovered the lifeless body of a 65-year-old man. The work of the fire fighters made it possible to evacuate the spread of the fire to neighboring apartments in this three-story building.
In total, 21 firefighters were involved in the operation, which also required the intervention of seven vehicles.
A police investigation has been opened, it should allow us to learn more about the circumstances of the fire and the death of the sixty-year-old.
