Despite a crazy match, FC Espaly failed to create the feat. The Haute-Loire team loses this round of 16 of the Coupe de France, (2-4), at the Marcel-Michelin stadium in Clermont-Ferrand.
22h45 – The Parisians bury the hopes of FC Espaly in the last minute of play. 4-2 for PSG.
22h43 – Espaly breaks down at the wrong time! On a dazzling counter-attack, Nuno Mendes delivered a perfect cross which Barcola took back at the far post. Paris is back in front! “This is a cruel scenario!deplores an FC Espaly supporter. We really believed in it until the end. We broke down a few minutes from the end.”. Another supporter of the club, for his part, only remembers the positive: “
22h28 – Incredible surprise! The Haute-Loire fans did not give up and managed to equalize in their turn. Score: 2 – 2. It’s madness at the Marcel-Michelin stadium!
22h24 – Doué’s goal. Paris takes the advantage, but the Altiligère supporters do not lose their fervor.
10 p.m. – It’s back to Clermont-Ferrand! Espaly players kick off this second half. 45 minutes to go before a possible penalty shootout!
21h45 – It’s halftime! This is an opportunity to collect some reactions from supporters after this eventful first part. Arthur from Cantal remains optimistic, despite the equalizer: “It’s a shame. Espaly put on a good match and dominated against a great Ligue 1 team. We can’t even see the division gap, it’s crazy”. Another adds: “It’s the magic of the Coupe de France!“. Rugby lover, Rémi does not regret coming this evening: “It’s a great match. We had a nice surprise. We’re not used to seeing ultras, shirtless, with smoke bombs. It’s special”.
21h37 – PSG equalizes. The Altiligrian supporters are starting to doubt: “It’s hard. I’m starting to doubt this. But they will come back. And that’s what we’re here for!”.
21h04 – FC Espaly sets the tone! A magnificent signed strike He found it shakes the net…. and the Parisians.
9 p.m. – Here we go! It’s the kick-off. It was given by Aurélien Rougerie, the Clermont rugby star.
Maxence is a supporter of ASSE Saint-Etienne. Curiosity pushed him to come see this match of titans: “For the love of football, it’s worth it! I’m betting on Espaly winning on penalties”. The supporters are starting to speak out.
8 p.m. – one hour before kick-off, the players gradually fill the rugby stadium. In total, nearly 15,000 supporters are expected for this match, including 700 Parisian fans.

Followed, just after, by Luis Enrique’s players.
7 p.m. – The Marcel-Michelin stadium is decorated in the colors of the event.
FC Espaly supporters also wanted to show their support for their team with a banner displaying the following message: “Amateur football must retain its values”.
Before the kick-off of the FC Espaly – PSG match, the supporters wanted to send a message via this banner hung on the stands of the Marcel-Michelin stadium in Clermont-Ferrand. .
