Weakened in defense by the absences of Francesco Acerbi and Yann Bisseck, Inter can now count on the gradual return of Benjamin Pavard. The latter came into play in the 69th minute during the match against Bologna (2-2) this Wednesday, after playing a quarter of an hour against Venice on Sunday, each time on the right of the three-way defense.

In a post-match press conference, Simone Inzaghi, Nerazzurri coach, spoke about the French international’s situation: “Pavard is coming back well. He played two good portions of the match, first in Venice and this evening. He suffered a major injury, the only one of this kind that we had in the end, because the other unavailable players suffered from small problems which lasted. Pavard had an injury to his left thigh. He has recovered well and has been training with us for a week now. He played these two ends of the match, and now I have to think about whether to start him against Empoli (Sunday evening). »
