“After more than a year of courage and fight against illness, Mohamed joined the stars, leaving behind a loving family and an immense void in the hearts of all those who knew him,” adds the club in a press release paying tribute to the boy.

In April 2024, ASSE had already shared a video of its young and fervent supporter. From the hospital where he was battling illness, he could be seen jumping on his bed singing: “Go Greens, go Greens!”

Under the publication, many players in French football, including TFC, paid tribute to the child and his bereaved family. AS Saint-Étienne has already announced that a minute of silence will be observed in honor of the little boy during the reception in at the beginning of February.
