The Munich residents will continue on Saturday with the reception of Wolfsburg (7th, 27 points), before switching to Champions League mode with a crucial trip to Rotterdam to hope to secure a place in the top 8 at the end of the group phase.

For its part, two weeks before hosting SG in the Champions League, Stuttgart overthrew RB Leipzig in ten minutes to win 2-1 and return to 5th place with 29 points, one less than their opponent of the day.

On other grounds, Augsburg, with Cédric Zesiger in defense, won 0-2 at Union Berlin, Bochum beat St Pauli 1-0 and Werder Bremen drew 3-3 against Heidenheim .
