Club Bruges – Genk
60′
Jutgla!
After a good Bruges phase, Jutgla takes the ball at the near post but his delivery goes over the target. It was a good try.
53′
No real chance yet in the second half
Bruges maintains possession, but does not create a real opportunity. Genk plays counter shots but Arokodare is often too isolated.

Here we go again
Still 45 minutes to find out if one of the two teams takes the advantage in this semi-final.
45′
It’s the break
The two teams therefore return to the locker room tied (1-1).
34′
GOOOOOAL
Faulty on the opening score, Ordonez redeems himself directly and jumps higher than everyone from a corner. Everything is restarted!
28′
BUUUUUUT
On a magnificent cross from Steuckers, Tolu Arokodare plays Ordonez to calmly open the score. An opening score which should make the people of Bruges react, despite being dominant at the start of the match.
22′
Tzolis too altruistic
Found in depth, the Greek wants to serve Jutgla in the middle, but lacks precision. He could clearly try his luck solo on this action.
11′
SMEEETS
On a free kick, the young Genk defender is completely forgotten in the second zone. From an almost impossible angle, he decides to pass towards Heynen who passes just below the ball. What a huge opportunity!
7′
First chance for Jutgla
The Bruges striker shoots at the near post on a cross coming from the right but his attempt is deflected above Penders’ goal. First opportunity for Bruges in this match.

Before the match
The Belgian Cup inherited a final royal square composed, when approaching the semi-finals first leg on Wednesday and Thursday, of four of the first five classified in the championship: the leader Genk, Club Bruges (2nd), Antwerp (4th) and Anderlecht (5th).
It is even a clash between the first two which will launch the semi-finals. Wednesday (8:45 p.m.), Club Brugge will host Genk. Both teams started the year perfectly. Bruges qualified for the semi-finals by beating Oud-Heverlee Leuven 3-0 before dominating the ‘Topper’ in Anderlecht 0-3 in the league.
The ‘Blauw-Zwart’ will be confident when they host Genk. But the Limburgers also negotiated the transition to 2025 well, with a 0-4 success at Sint-Truiden in the Cup and a 2-0 victory over OHL in the league.
Winner of the Belgian Cup 11 times, Bruges has not won this trophy since 2015. Its last final dates back to 2020. Genk won the last of its five cups in 2021.
