New government: parliamentary consultations resume | Live

Non-binding consultations aimed at forming the new government will be held today and tomorrow in Parliament.

During the binding consultations on Monday, Nawaf Salam obtained the absolute majority of votes with 84 nominations, against 9 for Nagib Mikati and 35 blank votes.

The new Prime Minister pledged yesterday to get “immediately to work” to build the “new Lebanon”.
