The humidity in the air and the cold ground made the roads slippery mid-morning this Wednesday, January 15 in part of the Côte-d’Or department, leading to people falling and minor road accidents.

The Côte-d’Or Rescue and Fire Services are facing an increase in interventions at midday, linked to a weather phenomenon causing slippery roads.
The SDIS services counted 13 interventions at midday, including 6 accidents on public roads, 7 emergency rescue interventions for people with a toll of 12 people in relative emergency (minor injuries).
-A single car left the road in the town of Fontaine-Française around 10 a.m. earlier this morning, due to slippery roads.
The sectors affected by these slippery roads are:
- Dijon East
- the Saône valley
- Châtillonnais
- Baigneux-les-Jeifs
- Saint-Seine-l’Abbaye
From midday, no further intervention was recorded from the Côte-d’Or firefighters, as temperatures began to rise slightly.
However, firefighters are calling for vigilance on the roads, these episodes of slippery roads may recur in the days to come.
