I am honored to answer this call at a time when we all need to come together in a spirit of unity and looking forward,” said the Oklahoma native. She will perform America the Beautiful with the Armed Forces Choir and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

Village People

Even though they know that this decision “will make people unhappy”, the members of Village People wrote “that music must live without political consideration” on the Facebook page of the founder, Victor Willis. The group acknowledged that their “favorite candidate lost” (Victor Willis previously said he supported Vice President Kamala Harris) but added that they hoped the song Y.M.C.A. can “bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign”. Just like Carrie Underwood, several admirers said they were going to “throw their records in the trash.”
