(Stéphane Martin, January 14, 2025) – A fire broke out around 11:40 a.m. this morning at Bernard-Gariépy Secondary School.
Reinforcement was requested via a 4th alarm around 11 a.m.
The Sorel-Tracy School Service Center has published a press release advising that the Bernard-Gariépy secondary school is currently being evacuated due to a fire.
“The students are taken care of by school staff and are currently being directed to the Cégep de Sorel-Tracy. Emergency services are currently in operation. We will keep you informed of developments based on the information available to us.
We ask parents not to come to school or CEGEP for the moment in order to facilitate the operation.
Rest assured that the safety of our students and staff members is our priority”we can read.
