Portfolio: Charlin Dalin, New King of the Vendée Globe!

64 days for a new record for the event and a victory, that’s what it took for Charlie Dalin to complete a world tour and the Vendée Globe 2024 – 2025. A look back in pictures of the latest edges of the champion returning to Les Sables d’Olonne.

“At the top of his art” says Jean-Luc Nélias, Macif’s team manager, about his skipper – and he is right. Not only has Charlie Dalin splashed this Vendée Globe with his class and talent, but he also arrives at daybreak under a sky that is certainly icy but clear. A treat for photographers who will have been able to play with all the tones of the rising sun against the light, from the breaking dawn to the glory of the rising sun. And there were some great people behind the lenses of the Alea agency, from Jean-Marie Liot to Mark Lloyd via Olivier Blanchet, Jean-Louis Carli… A hell of a harvest of images. And we are still expecting 33 competitors!
