“A shot from the directed energy weapons!”

The theory that lasers deliberately deployed by the US military to explain the fires in Los Angeles is gaining momentum.

Among the far-fetched theories that would explain the fires in Southern California, that of lasers voluntarily deployed by the American army is particularly enduring.

While Los Angeles is still burning and the investigation is underway, a large group of enlightened individuals have already solved the case. For some, the fires were started to demolish the tunnels built by Sean “Diddy” Combs for his sex trafficking and erase any evidence of involvement of Hollywood stars.

A first theory which did not last long. More political, a second thesis suggests that the water reservoirs of Los Angeles were deliberately dried up by the Democratic governor, Gavin Newsom, just before the first sparks.

Trump’s version? A fish.

The third far-fetched explanation is much more enduring and dates from the deadly fires of 2018 in California: directed energy weapons, deployed by the American army. At the time, the town of Paradise had been reduced to ashes and 58 people lost their lives. The next day, “visual evidence” of a deliberate and targeted attack began to travel on social networks, on which we can see light rays linked to the flames.

Five years later, again after the terrible fire that will ravage Hawaii in August 2023. The problem? These are often the same photographs that are recycled over and over again with each disaster. If the light rays present in these images are real, they have absolutely nothing to do with a weapon deployed by the army.

Either the image is taken from another event (the previous illustration is actually a SpaceX rocket taking off), or the phone’s lens is so dirty that it leaves light marks, or it is simply big nonsense. In Hawaii, a fire survivor allowed the theory of DEW (Directed Energy Weapons) to grow at high speed.

As TF1 recalled in particular, at the time, “each time, the motives for such a plot are different: climate propaganda, land repurchase by developers and even sacrifices”. The problem is that, while the directed energy weapon does indeed exist, its beam is… invisible. Enough to dismantle the so-called visual evidence in a few seconds.

The strange blue trash cans of Los Angeles

Unsurprisingly, since the City of Angels suffocated under the flames, these theories once again find themselves at the height of a paranoia that has no boundaries. As far as , today we zoom in on blue trash cans which seem to have been deliberately spared, while the barracks are in ashes.

And it goes even further, since, for some, “all that is blue” is spared by directed energy weapons. A frighteningly long video looks back at most of the fires of the past decade to focus on blue objects that escaped the flames.

But why on earth would the American army voluntarily spare plastic trash cans in Los Angeles? Fans of crazy stories obviously don’t have the answer. On the other hand, as in any conspiracy theory, there is truth. In February 2024, on the sidelines of the fires in Chile, 20Minutes.fr sought the expertise of an international risk consultant, to respond to the rumor of blue roofs that escape directed energy weapons:

“The brighter the target, the more light it returns. In principle, if we were shooting people with a laser it wouldn’t be stupid to paint the roof in the lightest color possible, which could be between white and blue depending on the refraction spectrum.

Stéphane Audrand, international risk consultant

More generally, these theories are proving increasingly essential to those who cannot imagine that an event is not directly triggered by the Deep State. In Los Angeles, while Californian authorities are currently investigating criminal leads, directed energy weapons are not one of them.
