“How do we anticipate? How do we manage a crisis? Every day in the flood forecasting service, we receive data from Météo France. Depending on this data and that which we collect in the field, we carry out analyzes and we see the reactions to be had within 24 hours”explains Eric Mutin, head of the flood division, DREAL (Regional Directorate for the Environment, Planning and Housing) Occitanie.
A work that is done in collaboration with the SMMAR. “This notion of interservices is essential to be able to mesh the entire watershed with sensors which allow us to have as little uncertainty as possible in the state of our waterways”specifies Jean-Marie Aversenq, General Director of SMMAR EPTB AUDE.
