The year 2025 and beyond seems to be heavily focused on RPG-Adventures as is the case for The Witcher 4 or even The Blood of Dawnwalker. This new license created by former CD Projekt employees was recently revealed, but this January 13, we had a live which gave a lot of information about the game. We’ll give you all the details to remember!

If you want to know when The Blood and the Dawnwalker is coming out, well, for the moment, the developers, Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former CD Projekt employees, have clarified thatthey were not yet ready to give this information. We had, however, another meeting which is set for summer 2025probably during the Summer Games Fest, in order to have a gameplay trailer which could also give us a release window. It should be noted that during the presentation, we were able to glimpse the mention of alpha, which could indicate that the game is still in the early stages of its development.
What platforms is The Blood of Dawnwalker on?
According to the first information given by Bandai Namco which publishes the game, it will be playable on PC, PlayStation and Xbox (source). Here again, we do not have more details, but it should in any case be on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and potentially also on PS4 and Xbox One in view of this mention.
What is the story of The Blood of Dawnwalker?
The Blood of Dawnwalker puts us in the shoes of the character Coen who will have to face Brencis and his group of vampires who have come to rule Vale Sangoraa region that seems to take great inspiration from the Balkans. As it was explained during the presentation, Coen has 30 days and 30 nights to try to save his family and possibly the kingdom of this threat which decided to impose its laws on the local population. The events take place in the 14th century and 2 years after the introductory cinematic which was revealed this Monday, January 13 (source).
What are the gameplay mechanics of The Blood of Dawnwalker?
During the live on January 13, we got a lot of details on the gameplay. We already know that Coen is a Dawnwalker, that is to say a hybrid being between human and vampire. By day, he will fight mainly with a sword and with black magic spells and at night, he will have his vampire skills at his disposal in order to explore its environment, but also to fight enemies who are much more formidable once the sun sets. The day and night cycle is at the center of the gameplay and it will be important to respect the different deadlines imposed.
However, we will have great freedom in our choices and the quests have no linearity, just like the story. Each player can enjoy a unique experience that is largely based on how we play and our decisions. The game will evolve over the days and nights with the three vampire generals of Brencis who will try to put a spoke in our wheels by drafting laws for the entire region.
Each of the vampires seem to have their own skills if we rely on the images in the trailer and they all seem to be linked to the manipulation of blood. Vampires also have their appearance that changes and their number of fangs, as well as their length varies according to agewhich gives us creatures very different from those known through the books and games. These creatures of the night also have the ability to create servants by sinking one of their teeth into the heart of their victim. In addition to vampires, we will also cross paths with other monsters like zombies or kobolds.
While waiting to learn more about this new sandbox narrative RPG which is very promising, we remind you that the game also has a quality musical soundtrack, reminiscent of The Witcher 3, as we could see through the presentation of The Blood of Dawnwalker.
