Riot Games reveals Mel’s skills
Update : Riot Games has shared new detailed information about Mel’s skill kit, confirming her role in League of Legends. While his signature spell, Rebuttal, has previously been touted as a mechanic for reflecting back enemy abilities, this announcement offers a comprehensive view of his abilities, cementing his identity as a tactical and disruptive champion.
Passive Skill – Incandescent Luminescence
Each time Mel uses a skill, she gains three bonus projectiles for her next attack, up to a maximum of nine projectiles.
When Mel deals damage with a skill or attack, she applies Overwhelm, which stacks damage to eliminate her enemy. If Mel has enough cumulative damage when she hits an enemy, the cumulative damage is used to eliminate them.
A – Radiant Salve
Mel fires a burst of projectiles that explode over an area, dealing repeated damage to enemies there.
Z – Rebuttal
Mel gains movement speed, creates a barrier around herself that reflects the enemy skill back to whoever cast it to protect her from damage.
E – Solar trap
Mel fires a radiant orb, pinning enemies in the center while dealing damage over time and slowing enemies in the area around the orb’s impact.
R – Golden eclipse
Mel hits all enemies marked by Overwhelm, regardless of their distance. At the same time, it inflicts additional damage for each cumulative Overwhelm effect.
The higher the level of the Golden Eclipse skill, the greater the damage from Overwhelm.
