The Ski Mountaineering World Cup ended this Monday in Chahdagh.
During the last day of the tournament which brought together nearly 130 athletes from 26 countries, the athletes performed individually.
In the women’s category, Frenchwoman Axelle Gachet Mollaret took the top step of the podium and her compatriot Emily Harrop finished second. Austrian Johanna Hiemer placed 3rd.
-In the men’s category, Switzerland’s Rémi Bonnet won the gold medal. The Frenchman Samuel Equy took 2nd place and his compatriot Thibault Anselmet had to settle for third place.
During the awards ceremony, Jordi Canals, Secretary General of the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF), thanked the Azerbaijani side for the excellent organization of this tournament and hospitality.
