On Monday January 13, 2025 at 8:12 a.m., firefighters intervened urgently following the report of a gas leak on a high pressure network (4 bars) supplying the Robert Badinter elementary school. Due to the potential seriousness of the situation, the intervention was immediately classified as an enhanced gas procedure, in accordance with safety protocols.

66 people brought to safety

As a precautionary measure, emergency teams carried out a rapid and orderly evacuation of the establishment. 66 people, including 48 children and 18 members of the supervisory staff, were immediately brought to safety. The evacuees were temporarily relocated to the nearby Genêts gymnasium. They waited in secure conditions.
