The right time to negotiate
Since the rise in real estate rates, the ball has clearly returned to the buyers’ court: in two years, the average negotiation margin has simply doubled (+94%). In 2024, on a national scale and all goods combined, we thus achieve an average difference of 8.5% between the displayed price and the selling price.
Concretely, this represents a reduction of more than €20,000 for a property initially priced at €250,000. Note that the margin is slightly higher for houses (8.9%) than for apartments (8.1%).
