The students continue their intensive learning at the castle, and there are now only three left to claim to succeed last year’s winner, Pierre Garnier. These are Ebony, Franck and Marine. In the first semi-final last Saturday, Marine eliminated Charles and qualified for the grand final. This week, attention is focused on the second semi-final between Franck and Ebony.

Ebony wins the ratings!

Just like the previous week, the semi-finalists took part in an audition offering them the chance to sing with a former academician during next Saturday’s prime. For this evaluation, they first interpreted All of Me by John Legend before presenting a short choreography in front of the teaching staff.

The verdict was announced in the theater by the castle’s director, Michael Goldman. Ebony won the assessment, marking a decisive step in her journey to victory.

We had to choose a winner and it was Ebony who won the evaluations” he announced. The young woman was particularly happy with this announcement. “I have my revenge on Francky, I succeeded! He won the big audition and there, I passed the evaluation, so we’re even. I will be able to share a moment with a former friend on the prime so I am happy to have passed this evaluation” she expressed in front of the camera.

Charles soon back in Star Academy

Ebony then revealed the identity of the student with whom she wishes to perform during next Saturday’s prime. “I thought about a person with whom I had never sung, whether in evaluation or on a prime or in a duet, and that person was Charles. (…) He has an amazing voice, I really admire him, so I would be very happy to share a duet with him, I think that might be too good” she revealed to the director.
