Hockey: Canadians win gold at the Under-18 World Championship

The Canadians regained their due at the Under-18 World Championship on Sunday in Vantaa, Finland, beating the Americans 3-0 in the final.

Gold medalists in 2022 and 2023, the Canadians settled for bronze last year in Zug, Switzerland, while the Americans won gold.

Caileigh Tiller, Dorothy Copetti and Stryker Zablocki scored Canada’s goals, while Marilou Grenier stopped all 14 pucks aimed her way.

In the bronze medal match, Czechia defeated Sweden 2-1.

The 2026 edition of the competition will be presented in Canada, at an as yet unknown location.
