The net was eventually repaired and, after a five-minute delay, James Maddison was able to proceed with the kick-off as planned.
Tamworth fans were seen teasing Ange Postecoglou as the issue was resolved, but the Australian didn’t seem too perturbed.
Instead, he pretended to lead as chants of ‘w****r’ echoed through the stadium.
Tottenham, as a Premier League club, are heavily favored to advance to the fourth round.

Spurs lined up in force for this match, with Maddison, Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson among the star players selected.
Postecoglou kept his promise with his selection, having declared in his pre-match press conference that his team would “respect” Tamworth for this big occasion for the little ones.
“I have no doubt about the attitude of the players,” he said.
“We understand that every game is important. We will certainly approach Sunday’s match with the same state of mind. There are always challenges on the ground.

“There is a significant difference in the levels of football, but I’m sure Tamworth see this as a great opportunity for them,” he added.
