The flood risk prevention plan for the Rhonelle valley and its tributaries was approved by prefectural decree of May 24, 2022.
An individual or a company with fewer than twenty employees can benefit from a subsidy from the major natural risk prevention fund (FPRNM) for carrying out studies and work to reduce vulnerability on existing assets exposed to a natural risk.

The work imposed by the flood risk prevention plan for the Rhonelle valley and its tributaries is only payable up to 10% of the market value of the property. They are financed up to 80% for residential properties or 20% for businesses within the limit of €36,000 per property.
The flood risk prevention plan (PPRi) is a document produced at the initiative of the Prefect and under his authority, by State services, in consultation with the municipalities concerned, public intermunicipal cooperation establishments and local stakeholders.
After a development phase, the PPRi project is submitted for the opinion of municipal elected officials, associated organizations and public persons (official consultation phase). The PPRi file is then the subject of a public inquiry. At the end of the procedure, after the opinion of a commission of inquiry, it is approved by prefectural decree and constitutes a public utility easement. As such, the competent authorities for the development of town planning documents, mayors of the municipalities concerned or presidents of public intermunicipal cooperation establishments, will immediately annex the approval order and the PPRi to the approved local town planning plan, in accordance with the provisions of articles L.153-60 and R.151-51 of the town planning code.
