Clément Noël won the Adelboden slalom by a whisker, the Frenchman ahead of Lucas Braathen by 0″02. The podium was completed by the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, who took the lead in the specialty ranking. Best Swiss, Tanguy Nef ranked 8th.
In a fog to cut with a knife, it was Clément Noël who won, despite an ankle still sore following his fall at the giant of Val d’Isère.
Best representative of Swiss-Ski, Tanguy Nef gained 12 places in the second round to climb into the top-10. “I fought well, I was able to do what I wanted to do and I think I capitalized on that well“, he admitted on the RTS microphone.
A great comeback from Rochat
23rd on the initial route, Marc Rochat also made a good comeback. Without a fault, the Vaudois could have claimed an even better rank than this 10th rank which rewards his will.
But the main thing is elsewhere for the one who has had four retirements and one non-qualification at Madonna. Daniel Yule fell back a little to finally rank 12th, while Luca Aerni took 20th place.
