That’s it! It was this Saturday that France Beaudoin returned to the popular set of her show Live from the universeafter a well-deserved break. It was actor Vincent Leclerc who had the honor of being the first artist of the year to sit on the swivel chair.
Confident from the outset feeling “ a happy mix of nervousness and gratitude “, his initial feeling will not take long to give way to the purest pleasure, he who seemed to take great pleasure in living his musical universe in broad daylight.
Throughout the evening, several of Vincent’s playing partners took turns on stage, starting with Ève Landry on “Alger”, or even Gildor Roy on “Blow At High Dough”, offering the main party a bouquet of songs, each more unusual than the last. At the opening, Vincent’s sister, Geneviève Leclerc, managed to move him with her version of “C’est la vie”.
From the French classic “I’ll go where you go” to “Prière païenne”, we were then able to discover the “ rock that rocks » by Vincent, a genre he loves, on “Enter Sandman”, offered by the incomparable Bruno Pelletier. A moment which will have caused a lot of talk on social networks, just like the passage of Vincent’s known partner. Details here.
One of the most touching moments of the evening, which brought a few tears to the guest actor’s eyes, was the moving appearance of his aunt Marie Leclerc. She chose to perform “De la main gauche”, a song that she sang at the bedside of Vincent’s mother, then at the end of her life, which certainly reminded her of intense emotions. After the performance, Vincent notably revealed to France that it was a “ vigorous and invigorating shovel in the face ”, nothing less!
Then, at the end of the episode, the production decided to offer a few minutes to the late Julien Poulin, whose death occurred last week. For the occasion, Gildor Roy and Fabien Cloutier united their voices on “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, while souvenir photos were projected on the screens.
Vincent’s personal life being veiled in a certain aura of mystery, it will have been fascinating to discover the actor in a new light. In fact, with musical tastes as varied as they are relevant, we couldn’t have chosen a better guest to start the year off on the right foot!
What do we remember from Vincent’s repertoire? That all tastes are allowed and that in the end, this is what makes the beauty ofLive from the universeallowing the show’s team to renew itself from week to week. Next Saturday, it will be up to a favorite comedian to see his favorite songs playing before his eyes. Find out who it is here.
Live from the Universe is broadcast on Saturdays at 7 p.m. on ICI Télé.
