Deposed for more than a century, the Russian imperial family is growing. The Grand Duke of Russia and his wife announced on Friday January 10 the arrival of their second child.
Two years after the birth of little Alexander, the Russian royal family is preparing to welcome a new heir. Friday January 10, George Mikhailovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia, and his wife Victoria Romanovna revealed that they were expecting their second child. The couple then posted an Instagram publication, which reads: “We are excited and happy to share [avec vous] the news that we will be welcoming another baby this spring!“Discreet about the gender of the child to come, the couple had already kept the mystery, for a time, between the announcement of Victoria Romanovna’s first pregnancy and the birth of Alexander, on October 21, 2022.
The couple’s union is therefore crowned with happiness, three years after their magical marriage. On October 1, 2021, George Mikhailovich Romanov and Rebecca Virginia Bettarini, daughter of a diplomat, were married in Saint Petersburg. More than 1,000 guests then attended during the three days of festivities organized by the couple. No luxury was denied to celebrate this first union with great pomp in over 100 years for the imperial family. The two lovers met during an evening at the French embassy in Brussels.
