On the Zac de Talange side, we could see this Friday evening the decline after the flooding in the parking lots in the area. But it is clear that the water continued to rise elsewhere.

Several axes cut

Several axes have been cut off to traffic, as many users testify, particularly on the ITLF sharing platform (Lorraine and Borders traffic information). At 8 a.m. today, the following indications were issued: D8 closed between Mondelange and Bousse; D55 closed at the bridge between Talange and Ay-sur-; traffic interrupted on the D62 at the Malling/Gavisse bridge; no more traffic on the D56 between Cattenom and Kœnigsmacker; flooded roadway on the D52 between Maizières-lès- and Hauconcourt; flooding on the D55 between Bettange and Gomelange.

Furthermore, the Hauconcourt exit on the A31 (direction Luxembourg) has been closed to traffic. This is exit no. 35 which leads to Marques Avenue. But, according to some users, the Zac remains accessible via Talange. It should be noted that, despite some car parks being flooded, frozen (-1°C this Saturday at 10 a.m.) and closed, the Zac de Talange remains open. Of course, the A31 exit ramp remains closed, but road users arrive in the area by taking the next exit then crossing Talange. And despite the cold, people are starting to flock during this sales period.

As for the Moselle firefighters, apart from the rising waters last night, “no major events” have been reported. The emergency crews would not have been in greater demand than usual after this new rainy episode.
