Risk of overflow
Indeed, because of recent rains and precipitation expected in the coming hours, the situation could become critical for certain areas located near rivers. Vigicruesthe organization in charge of monitoring floods, indicates that this level of vigilance is activated “when risks of overflowing are possible and can cause localized damage”.
Nearby areas also on alert
More than 67 departments are affected by yellow vigilance today. The yellow alert, although not as alarming as the orange maximum alert, requires special attention.
-The neighboring departments of the Meuse, such as Ardennes, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle and Nord, also share this alert and are invited to remain vigilant, particularly when traveling near rivers and other water points.
Tomorrow’s day still disrupted
In the Meuse, a yellow alert for strong winds and a risk of snow and ice has also been triggered. Forecasts predict an extension of the yellow snow-ice and flood alert in the Meuse until at least this Friday, January 10.
