The Spanish Superior Sports Council (CSD) has authorized as a precautionary measure the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with Barça, pending a final decision in this thorny issue.
Under fire from criticism in recent days, President Joan Laporta can take a breather. Barça has provisionally won its case against the Federation (RFEF) and La Liga. The two Spanish football authorities rejected last week the requests for a new license from Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. The names of the two players from the FC Barcelona team registered to play in the Spanish championship no longer appeared on the La Liga website, which withdrew them on December 31 because the club did not meet the financial conditions required to have them participate .

A provisional measure
The Superior Sports Council (CSD) sided with Barça this Wednesday by granting the request of the Catalan club which had filed a request for a precautionary measure to obtain the registration of its two players. The latter were then virtually released from their contract, and able to join another club this winter. This CSD measure is only provisional, and will remain in force until the definitive resolution of the appeal brought by the Catalan club.
-In the meantime, the two players can be registered in the coming hours as part of the Barça squad which enters the running for the Spanish Super Cup this Wednesday, against Athletic. The two players will logically be absent for this meeting, just as they were absent for Barça’s 16th round of the Copa del Rey against amateur club Barbastro last Saturday.
In the grip of enormous financial difficulties for several years, Barça used an exception allowing clubs to replace players absent for a long period to sign Dani Olmo. Recruited for around 60 million euros last summer, the Spanish international played 15 matches in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing an assist.
