The Hospital Foundation, in partnership with La Poste, launched its Yellow Coins operation this Wednesday morning in Bordeaux.
This is the major collection of donations organized by the foundation chaired by Brigitte Macron and sponsored by Didier Deschamps. A piggy bank that helps finance projects for hospitalized children and adolescents. 9,800 projects carried out since 1989 thanks to 116 million euros in donations (around 5 million euros per year).
The arrival of Didier Deschamps in Bordeaux did not go unnoticed. It must be said that the coach of the Blues was to announce this Wednesday his departure from the French team in 2026. And he confirmed the information from the Mériadeck post office where the launch of the operation was held.

Brigitte Macron and Didier Deschamps then went to the children’s hospital at Bordeaux University Hospital. They were able to visit the hemato-oncology department renovated in 2019 partly thanks to donations from the Foundation.
To participate in the Yellow Coins operation, children, families, schools and businesses are invited to collect their piggy banks from post offices today. Each donor can then return their piggy bank filled with coins to the post office until February 8, 2025. You can also make a donation online at piecesjaunes.fr
