“Louis Vuitton’s Damier symbolizes the quintessence of modern jewelry,” says Francesca Amfitheatrof, artistic director of the house’s jewelry and watchmaking worlds, who has just imagined a new precious family. Called Le Damier, it transforms into a precious version the emblematic geometric pattern of Louis Vuitton born in 1888. The collection, composed of rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings with inclined sides in precious metal and brilliant-cut diamonds, is comes in two distinct styles: one with two rows of white gems, while the other, more graphic, has four. “This collection does not captivate the eye only by its diamonds, but also by the pattern they create,” confides the designer. Across the Channel, the English jeweler Graff, known worldwide for displaying the most beautiful precious stones in the world, gives its letters of nobility to yellow gold and diamonds through its Laurence Graff Signature collection. “Graff is renowned for its incredible diamond heritage, and we honor and respect this heritage in our creative DNA, while remaining focused on the future. This collection celebrates the bold and complex facets of a diamond through contemporary jewelry pieces, designed and crafted to be loved, stacked and layered – reflecting each person’s signature style,” explains Anne-Eva Geffroy, design director at Graff. Rings, pendants, hoop earrings and now rigid unisex bracelets are designed in faceted gold reminiscent of sections cut with a gem and studded with diamonds. Same attraction for the noble material with buttercup reflections at Tiffany & Co. The American jeweler is today unveiling a new opus of the collection imagined in collaboration with Pharrell Williams. The artist, also artistic director of the men’s universe of Louis Vuitton, looked at the shape of Poseidon’s trident to imagine the Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams line. Inspired by the structure of this mythological spear, a pattern with sharp points is juxtaposed with a soft, curved link on a whole series of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings with a punk spirit. Each piece combines yellow gold and white diamonds set upside down, exposing their pointed heads and thus intensifying their brilliance.
