He returned to the death of Jean-Marie Le Pen, “a great patriot” according to him.
His funeral will take place on Saturday January 11, 2025 at Trinité-sur-Mer, in Morbihan.

The death of Jean-Marie Le Pen at the age of 96 this Tuesday, January 7, continues to provoke reactions even within his own political camp. Guest of “Bonjour! La Matinale TF1”, Louis Aliot, first vice-president of the National Rally, paid tribute to the man who founded the National Front in 1972.

“I would like there to be a tribute from the National Rally, that’s obvious”said the mayor of Perpignan. “We still owe him, at least that’s my opinion”he added on TF1, while the party has not yet officially communicated on this subject. This tribute should applaud the one without whom “French policy today would be totally blind or deaf.”
“Jean-Marie Le Pen was a great patriot”declared Louis Aliot who recalls that he was “ward of the Nation”, “volunteer in Indochina” and that he “beaten in Algeria” : “How many politicians today would have this courage?” He dismisses out of hand the multiple convictions to which Jean-Marie Le Pen has been subjected, in particular for “provocation to hatred”. “In all politicians, there are parts of light, parts of criticism, parts of darkness.”
Before this potential tribute from the National Rally, the funeral of Father Le Pen will take place “Saturday, in family privacy, at Trinité-sur-Mer”Morbihan town of origin of the family. However, he said he did not fear during the burial of “spontaneous demonstrations” of the “chienlit” and the “leftist scum”while rallies of joy took place last night in several cities in France.

Louis Aliot also returned to the conditions in which Marine Le Pen learned of the death of her father. She was on the plane returning from Mayotte when her family sent a press release: “It was when we landed for a stopover in Nairobi that the journalists on the flight informed us of the death.”
