The Steam Deck was until now the only portable PC console to run SteamOS, but we can now count on the Lenovo Legion Go S.

The manufacturer has in fact announced the first tier model using a modified version of Linux, but which therefore has the particularity of fully and officially integrating Steam, Valve’s game distribution platform.

This notably ensures support for everything found on Steam Deck, particularly in community additions, and more generally in terms of optimization.

It is designed with a Ryzen Z2 Go chip, announced earlier this week by AMD. This is the most accessible (and therefore the least powerful) model of the three revealed by the semiconductor giant, and intended for consoles of this type.

For the rest, we find in particular a 1920x1200px panel, going up to 120Hz. The design has also been revised compared to the first iteration to accommodate a better battery (55Wh), but also on the detachable “Joycon”.

The SteamOS version of the Lenovo Legion Go S will be released in May starting at $499.99 (for 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage). The Windows version will be launched this January at $729.99 (32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage), or at $599.99 (16GB and 1TB of storage).
