Tanner Pearson, VGK (vs SJS) – The 32-year-old veteran got a nice promotion last Thursday by finishing the game against the Philadelphia Flyers on the Vegas Golden Knights’ first line alongside Jack Eichel and Mark Stone. It is also on this unit that he played against the Buffalo Sabers, two days later, and that he is likely to play on Tuesday, against the San Jose Sharks. Pearson took advantage of his first moments with the two star forwards of the Golden Knights to collect three points in four periods of play. Against the Sharks, 29e defense of the circuit this season (3.45 goals allowed/game), everything is in place for him to continue his momentum.
Ryan Strome, ANA (vs CGY) – Strome also takes advantage of ice time with star teammates to pad his statistical record. Positioned on the left wing of Troy Terry, second star of the last week in the NHL, the Ontarian has obtained at least one point in his last five games (two goals, five assists). He and Terry are also united on the Ducks’ top power play unit. Strome has 23 points in 39 games so far this season. At this rate, he’ll have 48 by the end. He would then reach the plateau of 40 points for a sixth campaign in a row.
