VIDEO – A pavilion under renovation collapsed in Boulogne-Billancourt, causing several injuries this Tuesday, January 7.

A residential house collapsed at 4 rue Darcel in Boulogne-Billancourt in the Hauts de Seine department this Tuesday, January 7 in the morning, reported our colleagues at BFMTV. The pavilion is located northeast of Boulogne-Billancourt, 400 meters west of the Parc des Princes. AFP images show the pavilion gutted after the incident. In particular, we see a firefighter inspecting the rubble using a drone.

The collapse injured six people. Three people were taken to hospital in absolute emergency, and three others are in relative emergency. The causes of the accident remain unknown at this time.

More than 40 firefighters on site

The two-story building was being renovated and workers and an architect were on site when the building collapsed. According to 3, workers were trying to join two parts of the building when a first collapse occurred. A second episode apparently occurred and trapped a man in the basement.

Emergency services intervened shortly after 9 a.m. and around forty firefighters were deployed to the scene aboard 11 engines. Firefighters evacuated a worker from the rubble and set up a security perimeter. They indicated to our colleagues that the situation was now “frozen” and that they continue to make sure that no one is under the rubble.
