The trial of a 27-year-old young man was postponed on Monday by the Hauts-de-Seine Assize Court. Tried for murder and attempted murder, he was unable to appear, report our colleagues from Parisian. After an initial refusal by the general advocate to accept a referral procedure requested by the accused’s lawyer, the court finally decided to stop the hearing: the man had just plunged his hand into his pants and smearing your face with excrement.
The accused has been followed for several months at the specially designed hospital unit (UHSA) in Villejuif for hallucinations. But a psychiatrist concluded that he could well be tried this Monday. However, from the opening of the trial, the alleged murderer was not able to answer simple questions about his marital status. He even said he was born in 1750.
A very violent murder
Placed in pre-trial detention since 2021, the man is said to have killed a trans woman after contacting her on a specialized dating site. He allegedly strangled her and stabbed her before returning to her home and stealing her personal belongings. He also allegedly left another trans woman for dead after raping her. The Assize Court requested a new psychiatric expertise after Monday’s referral.
