AC Milan won the Supercoppa Italiana for the eighth time, marking their first triumph since the 2016/17 season and ending Inter Milan’s run of three consecutive titles in this competition.

In a thrilling match on Monday, AC Milan triumphed over Inter Milan with a 3-2 victory in the Italian Super Cup final. Just a week after taking the reins of the team, Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição celebrated his first trophy with the Rossoneri.

The ‘dérbi della Madonnina’ was moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the Italian champions took an early lead with goals from Lautaro Martínez (45+1) and Taremi (47). However, the Rossoneri staged a remarkable comeback with goals from Theo Hernández (52), Christian Pulisic (80) and Tammy Abraham (90+3), the latter assisted by Portuguese international Rafael Leão.
