Starting January 6, WWE fans around the world will be able to experience “Raw” on Netflix, with high expectations surrounding a memorable spectacle, rivaling live events and pay-per-views.
WWE has already revealed several highlights, including Seth Rollins facing CM Punk, Liv Morgan defending her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns facing Solo Sikoa, as well as an appearance by John Cena.
However, there is the question of what surprises WWE inevitably has in the works. Here are some legendary appearances and returning stars wrestling fans could expect when “Raw” launches on Netflix.
The Rock
One of the main attractions of this episode of “Raw” is the Tribal fight between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, where the two wrestlers will compete to conquer Ula Fala and the title of Tribal Chief.
With so many family issues at stake, it’s certain that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be the talk of Netflix.
The Rock’s last appearance was at Bad Blood in October, where he showed his support for Sikoa and the new version of the Bloodline. Johnson could return to prevent Reigns from emerging victorious, setting the stage for their match at WrestleMania 41.
Additionally, as Director of TKO Group Holdings, he realizes the importance of his WWE appearances and will ensure that this premiere on Netflix is as successful as possible.
Becky Lynch
In the weeks leading up to the Netflix launch, several WWE television commercials featured “The Man,” Becky Lynch, who has not been seen since May, when she lost the World Championship Female against Liv Morgan.
With rumors surrounding his WWE contract, a report from WrestleVotes suggests that Lynch’s impending return “will have great significance in plans for WrestleMania as the road to Las Vegas begins.”
What better time to make a return than with the launch of “Raw” on Netflix?
The ideal scenario would be to see it arrive right after Morgan’s defeat against Ripley. As Ripley celebrates her victory, “The Man” could make a triumphant return and aim to regain his title.
Other returns or possible debuts
For several weeks, WWE programs have been featuring teaser videos featuring a symbol generally associated with former AEW Superstar, Penta El Zero Miedo.
In last Monday’s episode, the company showed off his entire mask, raising the prospect of a possible debut for this Mexican wrestler in this landmark Netflix premiere.
Another possibility would be the return of Charlotte Flair, who suffered a knee injury last year. Although Flair would appear to be better placed on the SmackDown roster, WWE would be looking to make a splash on this episode of “Raw”.
These upcoming appearances and returns during the launch of “Raw” on Netflix show the effectiveness of the current WWE promotion. By using well-known personalities, WWE manages to keep old and new fans interested.
