Simen Krueger as a specialist

After losing a possible podium in the general classification on Saturday, by falling during the penultimate stage, the Norwegian Simen Hegstad Krueger gets his revenge.

Always very strong in the moguls, Krueger was the announced favorite for this crazy climb towards Alpe Cermis, with his passages at more than 20%. Unsurprisingly, he took the lead from the first switchbacks and gradually let everyone go.

The Austrian Mika Vermeulen, huge since the start of the Tour, will be the only one to accompany him, before giving in in turn 1km from the summit. From then on Simen Krueger before winning this stage for the 3rd time in his career.

Already winner last season, he is ahead of Vermeulen by 7sec and the German Friedrich Moch, 2nd in the Tour last season, by 10sec.

Hugo Lapalus, off to a good start, perfectly at ease on this climb, was unable to do anything against Moch’s finish and finished 4th in this stage at 13sec. Behind him we find the Andorran Esteve Altimiras, Andersen and a Pellegrino who has never climbed so fast in his life.

Johannes Klaebo, without panicking, finished 18th at 1min13 and obviously won the Tour de Ski.

A 4th coronation for Johannes Klaebo, a 2nd podium for Hugo Lapalus

After 2019, 2022 and 2023, the world No. 1 wins the 2025 Tour de Ski and equals the Swiss Dario Cologna, also a four-time winner. With more than two minutes to spare at the start of this last stage, the Mass was said.

Johannes Klaebo probably did not need to use all his strength to secure a trophy, which only Harald Amundsen could hope to challenge him, before giving up on the evening of the 4th stage.

Mika Vermeulen, the Austrian who spent months and months in Norway to learn and progress, takes a huge 2nd place in the general classification, at 1min23.

And like last season, is in the spotlight thanks to Hugo Lapalus. Always present, regular as clockwork, the cross-country skier from La Clusaz takes a magnificent 3rd place at 1min43.

A feat that he had already achieved in 2023, behind Amundsen and Moch.

Federico Pellegrino, who no one will classify as a sprinter anymore, finished 4th in the general Tour classification, a performance unimaginable just a few seasons ago which rewards an outstanding professional.

Haavard Moseby, who came to the Tour at the last minute to replace Paal Golberg, is not to be outdone with his incredible 5th final rank.

We end with a huge tip of the hat to Mathis Desloges. The great hope from Dauphinois completed his first Tour in 8th place, showing truly interesting qualities and potential every day.
