It was very important to win for our confidence. We made two mistakes which left the score to Pau, and we had to fight to take it. We went to +7 before half-time, then, in the second half, we had to keep the Section away from us. Because if this team stayed together, we knew they wouldn’t be able to play anymore, and they are dangerous. We delivered a good match in terms of content. And, if we had won the scrum within Pau’s 22 meters in the last quarter of an hour, we could have kicked in and tried to grab an offensive bonus. It would have changed the end of the match.

Could you have made things easier on yourself?
We still had a big fight between two teams. In the second half, our carried ball took over, even if we couldn’t use it enough, which is a shame. We made a few stupid mistakes, but our defense was in place, we missed very few tackles. We must continue on this path and be even more precise.

To be more killer?
Of course, when we have opportunities inside 22 meters, we would like to convert them all. But the opponent also has the opportunity to defend well. But it would have been better, for example, if we had managed to improve this touch at the start of the game in their 22 meters. We lost the ball, it happens, but we need discipline in the scoring area.
