Sébastien Loeb, Carlos Sainz, Nasser Al-Attiyah… mixed fortunes for the favorites during the prologue

The favorites for the final victory of this Dakar 2025 have experienced varying fortunes. Nasser Al-Attiyah is best placed at the wheel of his Dacia Sandriders. He finished 3rd in the prologue. Sébastien Loeb, his teammate, finished 7th. It was less good, however, for Carlos Sainz. At the wheel of his Ford Puma, the defending champion could not do better than 25th while his runner-up in 2024, Guillaume De Mévius, suffered a puncture and took 111th place in the standings.
